Each District holds periodic membership meetings to discuss functions and policies of the District. Once a year, nominations are accepted for various District offices. An election is then conducted to elect the officers. One District office, that of Director, is a representative from the District to the State CSOTFA organization. Districts may hold other meetings as desired or as necessary.
The District Directors (now totaling 10) meet periodically to conduct business of the State CSOTFA organization. This "Board of Directors" is the controlling policy-making body of the overall CSOTFA organization. The "Board of Directors" currently hold two official meetings a year - one in March (at the State Contest) and another some months later (usually in the Fall). The "Board of Directors" appoint the State CSOTFA officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer,
Membership, Editor) who actually oversee and direct the policies and procedures of the Organization.
At least once a year, the "Board of Directors" and Board of Officers conduct a meeting of CSOTFA members - giving everyone an opportunity to participate in policy. This meeting is generally held in conjunction with the State Contest.
