District 6 was the sixth old time fiddling district created in the state of California. It is centered around the Redding area, but meetings are held in Shasta. Two great contests are held in this District each year: The best contest in California is the WESTERN OPEN which is held in Red Bluff each fall - check link.
District 6 covers the following counties: Del Norte, Siskiyou, Modoc, Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas (Northern tip). |
