District 3 was the third old time fiddling district created in the state of California. It was originally centered around Bakersfield but moved to Tehachapi for a number of reasons. District 3 holds a great "District" contest each year in September.
District 3 covers the following counties: Monterrey (South of King City), San Louis Obispo, Kern, Inyo, San Bernadino (North of I-15). |
